I enjoy Theodora Taylor's novels. They are always interesting and intensely sexual. I enjoy the twist to the usual romantic erotica novels. I am not a fan of the vague mental health issues that are mentioned in this novel. I'm all about directness when it comes to vices and interpersonal issues that affects someone. Otherwise this is was a great read and I am chomping at the bit to purchase Luca and Amber.
Theodora Taylor has a way with words, and get stories grab your heartstrings till the final word! I stayed up way past my bedtime to spend time with Zahir and Prin, then Holt and Sylvie.

If you're looking for a delicious, romantic page-turner to escape into for a few hours, this is it!
I really wanted to hate Zahir. How dare he treat Prin like that! I tried, but I kept reading and the more I read the more I fell for Zahir. Both Prin and Zahir found a strength that they didn't realize they had and options that they didn't realize were available to them. Their story has conflict, intrigue, fire and passion. **Bonus Book included - Holt**
I choose this rating --because I am so "impressed"! how you. write "Love stories"! --I was blushing and smiling so much-- I had to turn around and see if anyone was watching me (lol!) ---I bought some of your books a couple years back --and just got around to reading some of them ( I have over 700 books on my phone-- but you are "New" to me and I must just reading your books MS. TAYLOR - and you Totally rock"!! --I recommend ALL! YOUR BOOKS! --YOU DO NOT! "DISAPPOINT!-- THANK! U---
I have read every book that Ms. Taylor has on . So I'm pretty invested in her as an author. Zahir was just OK. And so was Holt for that matter. More like a 2.5 but I will give it a 3.

The book was flowing regularly until we got to the training part. The training part made it interesting (Although I rolled my eyes at more BDSM, seriously, no more BDSM in everything, authors). I thought it was building up to something. But then it went from training to boom everything is ok now cause we are sex pals. She totally lost her drive and dignity. He barely seemed to tolerate her, always having a temper tantrum when she did something small but then suddenly everything is cool, let's go to America. Oooooo.....k.

Then it gets confusing. So I understand the drama part between the h, the twins, and their moms. It gets confusing when the building blows up. OK why? Who? How? For what reason? Is it because he wants to actually complete it? It had been there this whole time. Why even through this at the tail end of the book if you were not going to expand on it? Cause you really left Aisha (and her mom) hanging. Like oh she died, oh well. Zahir leaves Prin and goes back to Jawahar. They were apart for what 6 months and during this time even though he barely seemed to tolerate her actions,
had abandoned her without any word as to why, definitely did not seem to love her, and hardly seemed to grudgingly like her-- totes falls for her and gives up his whole kingdom to his totally inexperienced brother. Who although loved music just randomly and conveniently for the couple, decides to take over. And then it just ends with some stupid over the top cringe stage proclamation. No epilogue. So we don't know what happens to the twins? why is Zahir into BDSM? what happens to the wreckage? where do they go now that he is CEO billionaire (convenient for him) of the company? what they do with the remodeled house? what happens to the kingdom? how is his brother managing?

Flashforward to me, being scared for how Luca will turn out. If all that nonsense that I just said seemed stupid and confusing its because it was and super rushed. If you want Luca and Amber off your mind (you detailed then in Holt and Zahir) then just put their book out. I'm invested in Luca and Amber, have been since I read their story in Breaking Bad. Now I'm scared to read it. You've been building it up for 3 books now and with the way Zahir and Holt were, it might come out crappy.
This story was just okay for me. Really sad to say that because I really like this author. I was confused, angry, sad, mad ... put the book down for a while to get myself together to continue reading. For some reason, I have to finish a book I start.
Bottom line is ... Zahir was straight up abusive to Prin for quite a bit of this story. He wanted to break her and he did. It wasn't until later that I thought to myself .. was that supposed to be part of the BDSM life? Read quite a few books that contained that .. some I liked, some I didn't. That breaking her crap was never in any book I've read.

*** spoiler alert** He locked her in a room, took away ALL her clothes, forced her to eat from his hands or starve. She refused at first but gave in when the hunger pangs got too much for her. Wat da hell ???? Had the sheets taken off the bed in the morning. I was a KRAZY person as I was reading this crap. She even got down on her knees and begged him ... just like he told her he would make her do. TRULY, I found NOTHING redeeming in that. It wasn't sexy ... It wasn't cute.That was not BDSM to me !! It was just mean & evil.

The book however did get better ... thank goodness ! Hence the 3 stars. Won't do any more spoiler alerts though. I would have liked it better if there was some serious give & take between them that didn't involve this kind of humiliation. HOLT & SYLVIE's story was okay for me too. He was also pretty mean & forced her to do some humiliating things ....
Both not my faves from this author. HIS FORBIDDEN BRIDE is my absolute fave !!
Why why why...does this author continue trying to explore the bdsm storylines. This is so old and she does not do it well. The best books in this series are Owner of his heart and Her Russian Billionaire. She needs to get back to those type of characters.
